The purpose of A New Leaf, the monthly Marijuana Anonymous newsletter, is to carry the message of recovery from marijuana addiction. It is through the written experiences of recovering addicts and their stories that we may find experience, strength and hope. Articles submitted should reflect recovery, unity and service.
The articles contained in A New Leaf are the sole opinions of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Marijuana Anonymous as a whole.
12-month subscriptions are available for individuals, and for groups needing 5 to 100 copies per month. Groups may also purchase 6-month subscriptions. Subscription prices include shipping.
Group subscriptions allow meetings to carry the following traditions:
- The newsletter in meetings provides a physical reminder to encourage members to submit stories and birthdays, to be part of something, to celebrate our collective recovery.
- Many meetings read stories from the newsletter as topic for discussion.
- Often there are service-related announcements intended for groups and members so people can stay informed and connected to what’s going on in the broader MA community, and learn of opportunities to be of service.
- Distributing the newsletter as part of newcomer packets is also a tradition many meetings practice regularly, in the spirit of sharing unity of the greater fellowship, and providing another channel of hope and recovery.
