A Prayer On My 30th Day Sober

By, Fran B.

Great Spirit, make my eyes clearer each day
Right my vision
Heal my broken heart
Help me to know that tears won’t kill me, but smoke and alcohol will
Help me to learn to love myself
Help me find hope and a new way of life
Give me a purpose—a reason to go on that runs deeper
A through line
A thread that leads all the way back to my soul that will pull me out of the dark.
Thank you for 30 days.
Thank you for today.
