“Step Three asked us to make a decision based upon our acceptance of our addiction and powerlessness that we had identified in Steps One and Two. Before, we alternated between being controlling or controlled.”
– Life with Hope, third edition, page 11
Embers fade with glowing light.
Addictions die with mighty fight.
Our souls rekindled with a renewed pact.
With backs upright and shoulders back,

Dreams return our thoughts in kind.
Our purpose walks a straightened rail.
New life awaits on recovery’s trail.
Final thought: Today, my choices in life are guided by my Higher Power. I no longer walk alone.

By, Terri R. I will always remember my first MA meeting. I was scared and nervous, but I remember all of that melting away as the meeting started. Soon I realized, “This is where I need to be.” I could relate to what I was hearing. Listening intently, I was amazed that there was a…
By Vinnie C. Dear Mary Jane, We are now broken up, retroactive to Dec. 29th, 2024. It’s not you. It’s me. Let me explain. When we first met back in February of 2004, you absolutely rocked my world. I’ll never forget that first time, smoking with a shady Russian guy in a New Jersey college…
