“Each step carries at least one main spiritual principle. We strive to apply these principles not only to the program and the fellows in it, but to all aspects of our lives.”
– MA Workbook, first edition, page 57
When I am honest, I gain the trust I had lost.
When I have hope, I know that the future is bright.
My faith gives me the strength to stay sober.
To have courage allows me to do what I used to fear.
My integrity puts me in a state of wholeness.
Willingness guides me to the next right action.
By having humility I will face my defects.
Through reflection I can see what my life has become.
Practicing justice makes my world a better place to live.
With perseverance I can attain my goals.
Spiritual awareness keeps my Higher Power by my side.
Final thought: If I practice these principles today and every day I will be well on my way to living a life of joy while being a source of good in the world.
