This is one of my personal mantras. Everything starts from here. As with the Serenity Prayer, “God, grant me the serenity to accept…” When I get frustrated with anything, I stop and remember what is real. When I do that, then I can know how and where to move: forward, backward, or do nothing at all. I accept where I am, what is happening, and decide what can be done.
Final thought: With acceptance, I live in the present, not what was, or what could be, but what is; here and now.
