The length of time in recovery is less important than the quality of recovery. Taking healthy risks, pushing boundaries, getting out of my comfort zone, expanding my skills; this is how I am recovering a life I wanted. I had to see others model things. I’d say “I want to do that,” or “can I do that?” I would do it, and see how it felt. Thank you Higher Power, for giving me the power to take the next right step.

Final thought: Today I can embrace growing new parts of my potential.
