“It begins with a real desire to stop using, with a genuine change in our attitude, with a soul-transforming realization that we are finally willing to go to any lengths to change our lives.”
– Life with Hope, first edition, page 4
This is my favorite line from Life With Hope. I just wanted to stop smoking. I just thought I could quit and move on with my life as it was. I thought I was a good person with a bad habit. I didn’t realize that I was going to be changing my attitude. My attitude towards my addiction, and my connection to my family, friends and God were all going to go through an overhaul. The program and steps taught me how to change my life.
Final thought: Every day I have a soul-transforming realization and for that I am grateful.

Written By, Dan F. I used to look back on my childhood with confusion. I knew I was different—how I learned, how I connected—but I didn’t have the language for it. I just knew I didn’t fit.
