“Our Higher Power can and will if sought.”
– How It Works, Life with Hope, third edition, page 193
One of the most beautiful ideas in Marijuana Anonymous is that my Higher Power can and will relieve my addiction “if sought.” When I think about who I am in this spiritual journey, which is recovery, I think I am a searcher. This is a very good thing, since it is the search for my Higher Power that makes freedom from addiction possible. I came into MA looking for a way out of the hell of marijuana addiction. The people in this program showed me that there was a way, and if I keep searching for God, seeking the love and care of a Higher Power that is always there, I can live in freedom and serenity.
Final thought: Today, I will seek my Higher Power through working the Twelve Steps of Marijuana Anonymous.
