“We strive for progress, not perfection.”
– Life with Hope, first edition, page 33
In my active years, I was always afraid; afraid of not being worthy of love, afraid of what others thought of me, and scared of not even being worthy of being alive. In the program and the fellowship, I met love and compassion. I met people who understood me, and who loved me when I couldn’t love myself. I opened up to my Higher Powers, and today I am so grateful for all the help I have gotten, and am still getting. When I let go, and do my daily program, and trust in the process and in love, then I feel loved and safe, and I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
Final thought: Today, I will surrender to my Higher Powers.

Written by, Thia L. I’m an addict. I’m also a “chronic relapser.” Sometimes in meetings I joke that “I’m the poster child to keep coming back.” It’s not really a joke. I’ve been coming back to the rooms over and over for the past 12 and a 1/2 years. I can’t count the number of…
